Speech Choir and Ignite Competition April 21, 2016 (Thursday)

Hard work, effort, practice, cooperate, challenge, and positive. These traits are the traits that I felt and did in practicing our speech choir. We did our best to share a message that we are one. ABMA 151 are united as one.

The competition day came and i was stoked. I came at school in around 7:30am. We submitted first our homework to Sir. Fruto. Then we went to the auditorium to wear our costumes on. I was glad that I bought the right glow in the dark paint for our props in our hands. After we wore our costumes I was surprised because we look cute but awesome. Then we seated. I was nervous and stoked at the same time. When the event started, Sir. Nomer said that we will be having an alternate presentation. Like ignite speaker first then speech choir next, like that. I cant remember which one first, but i think the ignite speaker went first. After the ignite speaker shared his speech. I think ABMA 153 and 154 presented their speech choir first. While they're delivering their speech, I got nervous; Really really nervous because they delivering it well and good! Their body movements, voice, eye contact and unity was splendid. After they finished their speech choir. I told my blockmates that we can do this.

Many ignite speakers presented their speech well. Then the time is up! We're next to deliver our speech choir. I was amazed because our AVP that Marlou and Leslie made is cool! and I had the goosebumps and the chills. While we delivering our speech, I did my best as well my blockmates. And finally it's done. We're all glad because we had fun.

After the many speech choirs and ignite speeches, awarding time came. The first award is the best ERC logo award that Ms. Nina told us to do in Techwrit. And Surprisingly Manuela form our block won! The next award is the Public Speaking Competition; When they announced the champion, I shouted and cheered because Jod our blockmate won.

The next award is the Ignite Speech Competition. I also shouted and cheered because the champion is, Gem from our block also. The following award is the best AVP award. Well, I was expecting that we could win this award. But sadly we didn't got it. Still, I'm happy because our AVP is no doubt, AMAZING. And finally, down to the last award. Which is the Speech Choir Competition. At first, I let my hopes up and my expectations higher. And the second runner was being called. The Sir. Nomer shouted, ABMA 151. I was expecting first runner up or champion, but hey we won. We got many awards from our block and I'm proud to be part of it.

To my blockmates who's reading this. I'm proud and happy to each and every one of you. I'm happy that we are united as ONE. I'm happy that we had fun out there. And love you guys. See you next term.

Public Speaking Competition April 20, 2016 (Wednesday)

The best of the best, the battle of skillful speakers. Six participants from each block was chosen to compete in the Public Speaking Competition to be held in their perspective rooms. The eight finalists will be judge in the auditorium. While the others who are not competing will stay at the auditorium including me.

While we are waiting for the participants, they had an activity for us, which is inclined to public speaking. The first activity was the "speed speech", the host will give a word that you should talk about and he will give you another word that you should make a good transition from the last word he gave you. One representative from each class was chosen; From our block, Marlou Macalalad represent. Actually, he did not want to the it, but he had no choice because we pushed him to do it. He did his speed speech amazingly! He said a lot of good phrases and made a good transitions. And, he won the activity.

The next activity was "debate", two from each block will represent. From our block, Fritz Alferez and Paulo Dinsay was pushed also to the activity. At first, I'm making them feel good about it and telling them that they can do it. But inside my head, I was laughing. While they doing their debates, I keep on laughing; Sorry about that, they're just funny. But in some points, they did it well. I was impressed actually that they delivered it with good intent. Even though they didn't won, they still have prizes.

The final representatives for the activity "debate" from our block was Geraldine Bravo and Grace Anne Murillo. The topic that they should defend about, sneakers is better than high heels. They delivered it flawlessly and they won.

The participants came and they announced the eight finalist. We were glad that from our block, Jerica Valerio and John David Gullle was picked. The other finalists are Stephanie Kung, Joshua Nel Francisco, Chelsea Anne Dave, Tyron Santos, Evgenia Limbaga, and Napoleon Labuson. Jerica and Jod shared their speeches about "Integrity has no need of rules". I was very impressed and so our blockmates too. They gave their best delivering their speeches! And I was rooting for them that they will win.

They announced the winners today, April 21, 2016 (Thursday) Ill be posting who won the competition, in my next blog.

Movie: Paddington

                                                                     PADDINGTON
A FILM BY: PAUL KING

Have you ever heard the Paddington station in London?
It’s a railway terminus in central London and an underground station complex.

How about the Paddington Bear? Have you ever heard of him?
Well, Paddington is an animated movie about a sweet, lovable and kind bear’s journey to London in search for a new home after a catastrophe happened back at his home in the deep jungles of Peru.

“A young Peruvian bear with a passion for all things British travels to London in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone at Paddington Station, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined - until he meets the kind Brown family, who read the label around his neck and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.” – IMDb.com, written by Marmalade Films

Early in the morning during our English Enrichment Program, Ms. Eliz made us watch the movie, Paddington. This movie actually made me feel like a kid again. Me being a guy who is into action movies, well this movie brought a smile in face. Paddington is a small, sweet and kind little cub who was raised by his aunt and uncle. However, the life that he was living went downhill because of a catastrophe. He was forced to find a new home and that is where his journey to London begins.
Montgomery Clyde, an explorer, finds himself traveling inside the deep jungles of Peru. There he met a family of bears. Before he left the jungle to head back home, he gave the little cub his hat and said that they are welcome to go to London.

Years later a catastrophe happened and the little cub finds himself searching for a new home in London. He ends up in the Paddington Station in London where he is named after by the Brown Family. The Brown’s took care of him till he finds a new home. But, in the end, they adopted him and they are happy.

This movie will take you back to your childhood which is absolutely nice. The movie was funny and it inspired me in many ways. Although we go through misfortunes in life, like they say, “After the rain, there is a rainbow”. Everything will eventually be alright.

Jon Santos Follow your Passion ... I did!

Jon Santos
(Sorry i was not able to attend this seminar, but I researched him and asked my blockmates about him)

On January 18, 1966. Manila, Philippines, Jon Santos was born.

Jonathan Adriano Santos also known as Jon Santos, is a Filipino Comedian, actor and impersonator. He is known for his job and popularly known as Ate V or Vilma Santos’ impersonator
Impersonation was never his first career path. In fact, after graduating with a degree in Economics from the University of the Philippines in 1987 he was set to teach high school Economics.

Jon Santos is not only a comedian but he is an inspiration. He inspired us to follow our passion because this will be the key to success. Passion is a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something. Doing what we want and what we love will bring a great outcome to our future. Doing our best in what we want we are into.

That’s what he did. Instead of following his supposedly career path, he chose to follow his passion. He chose what he wanted to do and here he is now. He is living life to the fullest; happily married with his husband; he is successful in his job; he has become an inspiration to people.

I’m very happy with my decision. I followed my passion. My passion is to become a very successful artist. In order to that, Step by step learning to become one; here I am, studying in Asia Pacific College, taking up AB Multimedia Arts, writing down my new blogpost and following my passion to becoming a future artist.

Following what your heart tells you is a hundred steps towards a happy and successful future.
Follow your heart, live your passion. Follow your dreams, or you'll spend the rest of your life working for someone who did.

Sana Dati

Sana Dati: An indie film that I will most likely never forget.
(I was not able to watch this film at school, but I watched it at home)

Letting go of something or someone that has meant the whole world to you isn’t easy. Love is inevitable and hard to let go. Once you’re in it, you’re in a big maze and you can never seem to get out.
Sana Dati is yet another wonderfully made film written and directed by Jerrold Tarog. Honestly, this isn’t my genre and I’m not really fond in watching Filipino indie films but I must say, this film had caught my attention.
At first I was so confused about the story. I was spinning in circles; my mind was full of questions waiting to be answered. As the film got deeper, I connected the dots and finally understood what the story was all about.
Andrea was in a hell hole after the man whom she truly loved passed. She lost him and she lost herself.

She never thought that he’ll be leaving so soon. She had never thought of him leaving without saying goodbye.

He shows up and reminds her of a love she once had

Andrea finds herself being thrown into marriage to a guy she has met for a week. Until a guys with camera shows up and triggered a memory; a memory of a guy that she had loved with all her heart.
Seeing Dennis and being with him, she felt like Andrew was with her by her side.

Sacrifices and Moving On

Andrea sacrificed her happiness and married Robert despite her still longing for Andrew. Not only Andrea but Robert has sacrificed something as well. He knew that Andrea still loves Dennis with all her heart. He didn’t forced her to love him. Instead he showed her love.

In the end, Andrea left things in Andrew’s tomb and chose to move on, living her new life with his husband, Robert.

Creative Storytelling and confessions of a Bookaholic Competition

March 30, 2016, we were required to attend the Creative Story Telling and Ignite Speech Contest by Ms. Eliz Reyes for our English Enrichment Program.

We are to blog about the contest so here I am currently blogging about it. Anyways, the program was good although some groups were a bit boring. Boring because not only I was tired of our projects but also some of them weren’t really prepared with their performance. Some were better and some were great.

For the creative story telling, it felt like I was kid again. They were telling stories about legends and acting out to add more creativity and entertainment to the audience. They made it look unique as possible which later on turned out to be a great performance.
They acted out the Legends like the apple and a flower. They wore costumes and used props; you can really see the effort they have put in it besides their acting.
They alternated the contest by Creative story telling to Ignite Speech. The theme for the Ignite Speech contest was about books and book-a-holic people. Confessions of a book-a-holic, they named it. For every contestant that spoke on the stage, I can see and feel their love for books and how it changed and currently changing their lives. They talked about how they got so caught up in a book that they can’t seem to find a way out. How books defined their personalities and how they love the scent of books.
You can see it in their eyes how they love books and how they appreciate it. You can see it by the way they think, act and talk. The sparkle in their eyes and how giddy they are when it comes to book; their intelligence boosting up; how they used their words wonderfully.

After the event, I suddenly got interested in reading leading me to buying a good book to read.

Slam Poetry

Benjamin Alves Poetry reading and his birthday celebration

Slam poetry is a type of competition where people read their poems without props, costumes, or music. We were asked to attend a slam poetry competition in MPH1. I told myself that I might waste my time because poetry is boring. But I was wrong. When the competition begun, participants present their poetry reading fantastically. I was amazed! and shocked that poetry is the hek of fun. It became more interesting when Benjamin Alves came and present his poetry. I was astonished that he as an actor can do slam poetry. He started doing it since he was a kid. He presented his poetry beautifully, everyone got goosebumps. I think he shared his experience about love. He delivered it nicely that everybody can relate to it, got inspired and had tears on their eyes. (Sorry, I'm not good in grammar comprehension)

After that, we celebrated his birthday and he shared a lot of food to us. We ate Carbonara( i think) and drank Zagu. I was glad that he offered questions for him so that we can know him more. Then one of my blockmates George, represent for our block. She asked if he have other talents and hobbies. And after that he kissed her. lol. I took a video on my phone. Anyways, another representative from our block is Paulo. I forgot what he asked about him, but I was expecting that Benjamin might kiss him too! lol. Sorry for that Pau.

After all of that, he offered his cake and cupcakes to us and he gave us hats as his like loot bags for birthday parties. After leaving the room, I can't stop thinking about his poetry. I got inspired and I also wanted his poetry skills and how he deliver it with good accent.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - ERC Edition

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - ERC Edition

Our Technical Writing Professor, Ms. Nina De Leon chose 3 students from our block to represent in the game “Who wants to be a Millionaire” that was held in the Auditorium.

If I may ask, who wouldn’t want to be a millionaire? A majority of people wants to be, of course. Imagine that.. You, being a millionaire? That’d be so cool.

Going back to the activity, it has the same mechanics as the real game. Though they added a twist and matched it with our all English term. Us being one of the students who are currently enrolled in the English term, instead of asking question from the Mathematics, History, Science and Music categories they asked questions from the English category. They ran through series of questions from the English category like books, authors and vocabularies.

The questions went easy to moderate to difficult. Some of them even tried to guess and hope for the best that it would be right so that they could win. Who wouldn’t want to win anyway? I mean, the prize may not worth a million but it’s still cash! Whoever wins first place would go home with a trophy and a cash prize of 3000 pesos while the second place wins a trophy as well and 1500 pesos.

The crowd was cheering for their respective representatives, hoping that their block would win.

It was fun and knowledgeable at the same time watching them play. Being in the audience has its benefits as well. It may not be the prizes but the knowledge of what you will learn while watching them.

Sadly, our representatives did not pass through the final round. But, they did their best and still showed pride for our block.

I salute all of those students who were in the game. Seeing that those question were hard and yet, they still managed to answer it right.

Being a part of the game as an audience, I may have not won a million or a prize but I do know that I got something out of it. The things that I have learned there, I can use it to earn much more.

The game had ended and we went home with our brains fed with new knowledge.

Artist talk

We were asked to attend the artist talk seminar. At first I felt lazy going there, not worth it, and a waste of time. But when the seminar started it was nice, Tito Romero talked and presented about animation. One of our block mate answered Tito Romero's question which is, "What is animation for you?"and he was satisfied at his answer. Animation is the process of making or creating the illusion of motion and change.

He presented his works, like his drawings and sketches, I told myself "Awesome!" I wish I could do the things that he can do in animation. He shared to us his experiences and also his job as an animator. I was amazed and shocked that he worked with famous artists. His projects like X-men, Dayo, Scooby doo etc. He also shared the movie Zootopia that did not made a success here in the Philippines. In the Box Office, Zootopia's opening weekend reached $75,063,401 and the gross reached 143,955,013 in the USA. He told us that this movie is nice and he recommended us to watch it. Anyway, his presentation is amazing. I learned a lot of things that i can use in my course and in the future to come.

After he talked, we watched some animations from good to best. Some of the animations are cool and seems like the animator did a hard work, some are okay but good in story, and some are bad. One of the animation that i like is "Juan two three". (i don't know if the spelling in the title is right) This movie has the best animation and story! Gosh, I wish I can do that. I can say that this animation can be good at commercials or presentations. It's really really good! No doubt. I also like the animation with robots (I forgot the title) but, the story is bad. I don't know, it's just that I don't understand the story. The other animation, the title is maybe agnes or something. Its good too, I liked it. Then the presentors  changed the vibe and switched to dramas. UGHHH.

I hate the short films we watched. I felt bad and depressed. I don't wanna talk about it. I forgot! after the animations that are presented, we also watched the music videos that my fellow apcians made. Its awesome! They all made an effort. Overall the seminar is good. I just don't like the short drama films.

"Turn Left, Turn right"

The world is a big place and isn’t it wonderful because no matter how big the Earth is we meet different people who will be a big part of our life. Come to think of it, everyday, we pass by hundreds of people, look at different faces and sometimes talk to strangers. Who knows, you might’ve passed by the person who you will spend your life with or bumped into your future friend who will be there for you when times go down.

This movie.. well this isn’t actually my kind of genre; I go for mostly action movies but I’ll make an exception for this. Turn left, Turn Right; be aware and open your eyes because you might miss something that can be a big part of your life. The movie was so frustrating, but that what makes it so special that despite it being annoying because they’re not crossing each other’s paths, you’ll get really hooked up in the movie and just wish that you can go inside it and drag them to each other.
They were meant to be together but eventually someone doesn’t want it to happen.

They met each other during their childhood wanting to make friends so Eve had asked John for his telephone number, but the two never got in touch because she left her school bag on the train and lost John's phone number.

They live right next to each other yet this big wall was standing right in the middle.
John avoids going to the left side of his building (which is where Eve is) and Eve doesn’t like going near to the right side of her building.

Finally, they meet. They exchanged numbers and went home feeling happy and all that.
But, the next day the two are devastated to find out that the phone numbers they had exchanged are unreadable due to the paper getting wet during the rainstorm.

Life was still mean to them, maybe because it’s still waiting for the perfect time. John and Eve are frustrated about not being able to find each other and decide to take jobs abroad. But life decided to be good and finally opened their eyes. An earthquake happened and destroyed the wall standing in the middle of them. If it weren’t for the earthquake, they wouldn’t be able to finally see each other again.
This movie got me hooked!
Despite it being so frustrating and out of my genre, I enjoyed it. A lot.

Media Literacy

Febuary 09, 2016, we were called to the Auditorium to attend another seminar. There, we listened, we learned, we became aware.
Toni Tiemsin, an alumni from The University of the Philippines- Los Banos and a former executive producer and Editor-in-Chief of subselfie.com was our speaker for the day.
Subselfie. Wait, Selfie?

Apparently, this was connected to what he is going to talk and teach us for today. Philippine Media &
The Millenials.
The Media is either telling the truth or a lie. The Media has the power to hide the truth and yes, people will actually believe them. See how big the impact of media is to our society? It’s so powerful that it can actually manipulate one’s mind.

He said, no matter how good or important the story is, if the “boss” says, no, then it means a no. Instead, they’ll release stories that will get the attention of the people, even though it is a complete nonsense. Basically, Media is circling around our lives, that because we use it everyday, it is now part of our lives.

Then he taught us about us, the Millenials; today’s generation. Now, going back to the “subselfie”, He said that we are living in the “Me, me, me generation”. Yes, I believe that is true. People are self-centered. And there are numbers of people who are narcissistic. Basically, we are really living in that generation. In Social Media sites we would see pictures or posts that are not really supposed to be posted. For example, an accident or a burning house, I’ve seen people taking pictures of it then posting it to their social media sites. Instead of helping them, there they are, taking pictures and selfies.

They say that we are the future. Our generation is the future. Now we need to open our eyes, be aware, be self-rounded, be mindful, stay relevant and use media in the right way. Speak up, contribute to the society and make a difference. Since we are the future, we really do need to make a difference.

We are the world’s future and we have to change the “Me, me, me generation” and start making it the “We are the future generation”

Movie Parasyte

Parasyte: Part 1

The humanity is suffering from murders all over the globe, called "Mincemeat murders". High school student, Izumi Shinichi has a parasite living off him, having replaced his right hand, and he might be the discoverer of truth.

At first, I was shocked and I wanna puke when I first saw this movie. I cant imagine when this kind of fiction happen in real life. This showed the real big deal meaning of Parasite. It produce, hunt, eat, kill and multiply. Gross is the word for this movie, but when you still stand by and watch it. My gosh! You'll get hooked. I mean, it was bad at first and I learned and understand why, in the middle part. Finally, I told myself. Awesome. The part when he got his powers! it's just awesome. The parasite in his hand can do bunch of stuffs.

Its crazy having a hand liken his. Talking to your own hand? its kind a odd. The enemies is cool but still gross. Too much gore, the part where they eat people in monster shaping mode. Yuck. I think the girl there is just warming up. She showed the main character that she is fast. As in fast. I can tell she didn't gave her full potential.

I can say that this movie is great for people who watch too much gore and thriller. The quality and graphics is average. The background sounds and effects is quite good. The special effects is beyond great. You can tell that this movie is not low budget. I checked it on imdb.com and the movie is rated 7.0 and the film earned 2.9 million dollars. So don't hesitate to watch it. It's fun and you wont regret watching it.

With this I give 7.5/10 for this movie. Recommending you all to watch,

Chants and Cheers Competition

Every term here in Asia Pacific College, during every School's English term, The Cheers and Chants Competition is held to make a stronger bond within each block and to enhance our skills in English in a fun way.

In this competition, we need to compose our own cheer that will represent our block, choreograph steps and make a beat that will match the lyrics of our cheer.

Wednesday, February 5, 2016, The School of Multimedia and Arts and The School of Engineering cheered their hearts out and fought for the title of being this terms champion.

For weeks of practicing and preparing for this competition, finally, there we are inside the APC Auditorium, we were in uniform with our pink shirts which was the color given to our block, with the name of our section in front. Although, deep inside we were nervous, everybody was excited and we were a 100% ready to show what we got. Luckily, Sir Nomer Yuzon, our Professor in Public Speaking, prepared a short presentation for us that broke our nervousness down for a while. A great singer he is, I must say!

Then the competition began. Excitement and nervousness rained inside the Auditorium. We were the first to present and without even noticing, we were done. Our mixed emotions were washed down. As we watched and waited for the other blocks to finish their performance, which were great by the way, it was finally time to announce the winners of this competition.

We came in 2nd place. Everybody was happy and excited to receive the award. Out of all the sections in The School of Multimedia and Arts we were the only ones who were announced as winners. As for the 1st place, CpE won the title while ECE came home as champions for this competition.

Everybody gave their best and performed well. The winners truly did deserve the titles. The contest ended and we went home with a trophy in our hand. Exiting the Auditorium, we were going back to reality where eventually classes will resume. That was indeed a day that we can consider as one of the happiest moments of our block.

APC Anti Smoking Campaign

According to the internet "Seven out of 10 smokers say they'd like to quit and many may already be struggling to stick to their resolution to make 2015 a smoke-free year. If quitting were easy, after all, chances are good that nearly 20% of adults wouldn't still be smokers, a figure that hasn't budged a much in several years. Smoking is such a familiar health hazard that some experts say it doesn't get the attention it deserves; the focus is often on other lifestyle-related conditions, especially obesity. But smoking is still the No.1 cause of preventable death in this country. "

Everybody knows that smoking is bad yet why do they still continue using, advertising and making these little sticks that kills a lot of lives? Come to think of it, what is the good in smoking? Well, some say it relaxes you, calms you, it makes you look “cool” and helps them deal with their personal problems. These are absolutely insane reasons! Smoking is not the only solution or should I say smoking is never really a solution!

Smoking for me remains a particularly awful habit because it directly harms people who don't even touch it. All they have to do is be in the same vicinity as a smoker. It is very unfair because we refuse ourselves to do that awful habit but still we get sick by just accidentally inhaling the gas the smoker releases.

Now, how can we put an end to this madness? Or at least lessen this to make a change. Basically, saying that “smoking is bad for your health” or “hey, smoking kills you” won’t change anything because they will still continue. It is not enough to change their minds.

In other countries, to discourage smokers from smoking, they put images of the effects of smoking on the cigarette packet. They put images like lungs of lung cancer patients who smoked and people who lost their toes and fingers caused by vascular disease. Like I said, you can’t simply tell people to stop smoking by saying it could kill them. But make them put into their heads those images so that their brain can finally process the fact that it will really kill you and this will happen to you if continue this awful habit. In addition to that, smoking will kill you slowly but surely and that it will leave you in pain.

Image result for smoking kills

In Asia Pacific College there are a lot of smokers, especially in the open parking area where the sheds are. That's why most of the people who don't smoke won't go there. Maybe because their thinking that they could be influenced, maybe because they are thinking that they could inhale the gases releases by the addicted smokers, and lastly maybe they are thinking that they could be bullied because they don't want to smoke. I will be very thankful if the project APC's Anti-Smoking Campaign would be established. Positively speaking this is for the sake of the campus either you’re a non-smoker or a real time smoker.

Filipino Authors

One of the great Filipino Authors that I'd like to talk about is Jose Dalisay, Jr. I don't know him much, but he is familiar to me because of my old books back in elementary. His nickname is Butch. Butch means a baby boy name, a person with deep inner desire to create and express himself, and also a good public speaker, actor, singer, and writer.

Jose Dalisay, Jr. was born at January 15, 1954. He is currently 62 years old. According to Wikipedia, he won numerous awards for fiction, poetry, drama and etc. One of his great lecture is about "Teaching the Young Filipino Writer". He gave this lecture in UP Mindanao on December 13, 2013 to Creative Writing students. He said "Writing is more than a field of study, that it is an art and the loftiest of human endeavors that serves to enlighten the mind". I was surprised that he was a professor back then, teaching English subjects.

He achieved plenty of awards like, he won 16 Palanca awards in five genres and was elevated to the Palanca Hall of Fame in 2000. Palanca awards is one of the Philippines' longest-running awards program and is organized by Carlos Palanca Foundation.

Because of this, I was astonished about him that I would want to learn more about him and this could help me for all of my English subjects. I was able to read his few lectures and background. I relate to his topics. He is good at delivering and bringing students to their best. I can say that Jose Dalisay, Jr. is now my favorite writer and public speaker. To end this post, I'd like to share a sentence from his book. "Huwag kang magreklamo kung may ibang bagay kang kailangang isuko para sa katuparan ng iyong mga pangarap sa buhay, dahil may mga taong sarili mismong pangarap ang isinuko para lang mabuhay."

Plagiarism

Copying and borrowing someone else's idea. Is it okay or not?. Well, in a serious matter, it's not. Nowadays, plagiarism is still growing and growing. Mostly this problem occur in schools. Copy and pasting homeworks ,copying someone else's poems, essays, and etc.

I admit it that I too is guilty with this because, I'm afraid. You know why? I'm afraid of my own idea and my own work that might flop. I see that other people can do this better. So, I go to the internet to copy. I can't also think of my original work sometimes. It's hard.

In my experience as a multimedia arts student, it's a lot harder to think of your own original art. I cant't make something beautiful if I don't look someone else's work. I think it's okay just to look others work and think of something better that sorta alike to that work. But copying the whole thing is illegal.

I know that we think plagiarism is not a crime or some offense, plagiarism is illegal if it infringes the original owner's property rights. So, in this case, I want to know what is the effective ways to prevent this problem as a student. I searched some insights in the internet, and I found great examples for this.

How can I prevent plagiarism as a student?. First, come up your own idea, even if it's corny. You can get some ideas from your insights, comments, experiences for that particular matter. Second, discuss that idea to others. So that you'll know their feedback. If they gave you a bad feedback, it's okay! actually it's good! to know it. It could make building your ideas better. Third, have other witness and confirm the authenticity of your work.

That's it, from my given examples you can effectively prevent plagiarism by creating your own ideas and work.

Self-Introduction

Hi guys! wassup?!. I'm Joshua ledesma. You can call me awesome. I'm 17 years old and this is my first time creating a blog. Actually I didn't know blogs existed! I just knew this so called mania recently. I'm from the Philippines. I have two pathetic siblings named Jacob my okayest brother, and Jesse my cutie sister. My loving mother is Melody and my greatest farter, I mean father is James.

I love to play instruments, my mains are piano and guitar. Obviously I love music. I like pop, rock and little bit of jazz. My favorite music artist is Sam Smith. I like his songs, I play and listen to them every time. His powerful voice and high falsetto notes always gives me goosebumps.

I also love to play basketball even though I don't play everyday, I can say i'm good at it. Basketball is popular, that almost every country play the sport. First of all, it is a healthy, fit and kind of productive sport. It is affordable, accessible, simple, and it is full of fun.

I also do Skateboarding, I know there are still piles of people who haven't tried it, so I can say Skateboarding is unique. It's both challenging and fun, and also yet scary. But! this experience is what keeps my mind alive and active. At first, it seems weird because of the dangers that you've  heard and saw at media that go along with Skateboarding. Well it's true, but it trains your body. You just need to know and figure out how to balance by yourself, because balance is a huge part of this. My leg got a good workout as well. I've been practicing a trick for a long time and i just realized something. I realized that I can do something that only a small handful of people on the planet can do. I know it's hard, but its fun. Anyway, to much for Skateboarding.

I love art, I love art so much. Creating an awesome and admirable work is not that quite easy, But giving colors and shape is what on my mind. From learning art, I realized that I always observe many stuffs. Even the smallest thing, and even smallest detail. I draw inspiration from my surroundings. Designs and combinations, art makes me look at the world differently. While doing my designs, I often forget my worries. The moment i'm locked up deep into my artwork my thoughts and emotions change. The feeling of creating something good and you know that you're the one who came up your very own artwork. You'll feel good, I feel good. Adoring what I've done is a great way to build my self esteem. I can say i'm an artist and i'm proud to be one.

Well that's it! I just shared my few hobbies. There's more than meets the eye, more about me. If you want to know more, you know where to find my blog.
